The seventh edition of The International Public Art Festival was held in Cape Town CBD and hosted by Baz-Art.
The International Public Art Festival (IPAF), one of Africa’s largest and most anticipated public art festivals, took place from 1-5 March 2023, producing many firsts for the festival. The assortment of twenty-three remarkable artworks includes installations, sculptures, digital artworks, outdoor pop-up exhibitions, performances, street art tours, and much more still on display for the public to reflect on. IPAF 2023 also expanded its programming with a host of insightful and creative workshops, talks, films and exhibitions. This year's artworks, guided by the Festival theme of “What If?”, sparked important and meaningful conversations through art.
Impact: +51 mil reach of festival content on social media platforms, digital and traditional media. 205 286 general public spectators benefitted from this event. 4142 views of augmented reality murals in the first month. 3630 guided and self-guided art tours through the city center. 22 participating artists, collectives, and artist interns.
