MMOCA, Mobile Moviemakers Film Festival Cape Town, is an online mobile moviemaking film festival. 2020 is its first edition as well as the first of its kind in the whole of Southern Africa.

MMOCA invites all aspiring filmmakers, entrepreneurs and others to submit short movie clips in the categories: Documentary, Fiction and Advertisement. Filmmakers can register until the 15th of October and submit their videos until the 13th of November on our Film Freeway platform. Entry for students is free, for all others it is R100. Every entry stands a chance to win great prizes. The award winners, chosen by our jury of experts, will receive a production grant of R10 000 and a jury prize of R5000. The festival will end with a VIP Awards Night at the Belgian Residence in Newlands (29 Boshof Avenue) on Friday the 4th of December.
