Philippi Village and Baz-Art hosted a collaborative project with Street artists D-Bongz, Dekor One, local artists Lindisipho Gulwa & Godfrey Makenong Mohokare and The Lalela Project with facilitator Chuma Nozewu. The artists have taken inspiration from the community of Philippi Village, presenting local stories of tenacity that were experienced during Covid-19, and interpreting these into works of art.
Fabric, patterns and textures with a graffiti twist are featured strongly in the artworks, as these play a big role in the history and future of Philippi Village.
