The frustrations with myself and society being less present and more concerned with the internet or cellphones led me to paint this series which urges viewers to be more present in their surroundings and less focused on their cellphones.
I incorporated online iconography in the series which would in an online instance illustrate no internet connection, a broken image and / or a webpage that can't be found.
This is a quirky reminder that while we are looking at our screens, reality is happening around us and we should be more conscious of how we choose to spend our time.
