Have you received your degree within the arts sector and are now looking for opportunities to gain real life arts business knowledge and opportunity?

As part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Package (PESP), Baz-Art has been selected as a host to employ four graduate interns as part of the PESP 3 Work-Based Experience programme coordinated by the Art Bank of South Africa.

Who is Baz-Art?

Baz-Art is a young and growing, creative company leveraging the power of the Arts in marketing and communication. Whether clients want to create strong content, build awareness or share your message – our team is dedicated to providing them with artistic concepts, plans and reports for project implementation as well as digital media and marketing campaigns.

Based in Cape Town, and operating in the national and international arena as the largest public and street art platform in Africa, this emerging company builds bridges between communities, neighbourhood groups, businesses and educational systems through creating street and public art in all forms.

Baz-Art’s vision is to grow a greater consciousness and awareness around the powerful impact of public and urban art and the potential of the creative sector in Africa.

About The Position

We are looking for four interns to join our organisation from early November for four months. During this time, you are expected to report to and learn from the Office Manager, Project Manager, Marketing Manager and Community Facilitator. This will help you grow your skills under the guidance of industry professionals. Your independent drive, strong creative vision, and eagerness to learn will make you a perfect fit for your time at Baz-Art.

We are looking for our four interns to fill the positions:

  • Marketing assistant,
  • Design
  • Funding assistant
  • Project implementation assistant

You will also get the great opportunity to work with us during the implementation of our annual flagship event, and Africa’s largest public art festival – the 7th edition of the International Public Art Festival (IPAF).

Skill Set

  • Ability to work in a fast past environment
  • Good eye for detail and produces high quality work
  • Strong communication and problem solving
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Can work both independently and in a team
  • Admin related experience

Successful candidates will receive a stipend of R5 700 per month.

The requirements are as follows:

  • You are a South African citizen, have a permanent residence or study permit
  • Are between the ages of 18 – 35 years old
  • Tax Registered 
  • Level 5 Diploma
  • Have own transport
