Sane began her art career in Makhanda 2011 as a freelance illustrator for graphic publications with a special focus on children's educational content. Here she worked mainly with Phaphamani Children's Literature & Fingo Festival which has now transformed to The Black Power Station. Four books have been published since: Remembering Dis'Remembering in 2012, Kati Leqa Lampuku in 2017, Ukhuphiswano ngobunkokheli, and in Africa with Avi & Kumbi 2019/2020.
Sane completed a Bachelors of Visual Arts in 2016 at Nelson Mandela University where she majored in printmaking and graduated (with Cum Laude) 2019 after presenting her first solo exhibition entitled 'Celestial'.
