I had the sense before visiting the occupants and owners of the buildings that there would be a blessing in this wall, and after conversations with JP and John, who run the joseph assignment on shelley road, it became clear to me that i wanted to paint a wall which inspires people to look twice. not only at the wall, but at their surroundings, and at each other. that what you see on the surface is not necessarily what lies beneath. And so i hope that my wall inspires second glances, second chances, and a sense of hope, compassion and light to the community and all who visit the centre.
