Strategy: In collaboration with Studio Muti, Baz-Art contributed to the wider ‘better. bellville. together’ campaign, funded by the City of Cape Town and the Greater Tygerberg Partnership. Revitalizing the neighbourhood, while providing support to the existing structures and local businesses, the initiative’s aim is to uplift Bellville. This placemaking project used public art to transform local spaces, intending to make the future of current businesses and residents brighter by appealing to new investment in the community. Impact: The project aimed to have impact through placemaking; revitalized spaces bring increased foot traffic, raising the levels of safety and visibility within the area.
