WATER WARS is a silent sentinel in a landscape of man-made recycled detritus, seven penguins, and the seven seas reflecting on sustainability and promoting greater ecological awareness. Belgian artist William Sweetlove creates humorous sculptures that at first glance appear "kitschy," fusing dadaism, surrealism, and pop art. A closer examination reveals its functions as a creative response to our culture's excessive production and consumption.
