Fernando Sánchez Castillo is a Madrid native whose work examines the relationship between art and power. This work consists of 1000 tank figurines made in China about the unknown rebel that tried to stop the tanks and create democracy. In exchange for these objects, visitors are requested to leave stories, names, drawings, or thoughts about the right to freedom and civil rights. Following the exchange of these objects, an interesting event occurred. The more people who interacted, the more the story spread, the more conversation took place, and the more notes were left on the installation. As the festival progressed, there would be only one tank man left. This brings a lovely cycle to a close. One man stood up to tyranny, and one tank man remains in the artwork.
