Implementation: Voter's Campaign

Strategy: Baz-Art collaborated with the Openheimer M Trust and  Futurelect to target and distribute educational material and increase engagement surrounding voter education and the power of maintaining our democracy. Ensuring that the voter messaging is highlighted and has strong calls to action, Baz-Art and Futurelect highlighted the tools and database available for voters to use at a workshop in Gugulethu. The workshop consolidated months of discussions leading up to voting day among the workshop attendees. Additionally, promotional content was created that has been used and shared amongst Futurelect’s current following while increasing interest from new and uneducated voters.

Impact: The voter engagement project in the Western Cape left a significant impact on the community by using key artworks in areas with low voter registration to inform and engage residents about their voting power and the steps to vote. The project culminated in a voter campaign workshop led by Futurelect, which educated participants about the voting process and provided tools for sharing this knowledge within their communities, thereby fostering a greater sense of civic participation and empowerment.
