The piece was painted on a fire station. The piece is a symbolic painting of fire fighters and in a greater sense, everyone who tries to make things better. I wanted to paint a simple and meaningful image of a person with there hands out offering help. I painted the image with the intent of transferring the emotion of empathy into it. I normally don't'describe my work, feel free to interpret it.
