Michael Beckurts is a 22 year old Cape Townian artist. Besides using watercolour, oils and charcoal, Michael is also an accomplished digital artist who has adapted a series of iPad drawings into elaborate multicolour screen prints. Following his participation in the 2009 edition of IPAF,
Michael has designed a series of wine labels, illustrated 2 books, and looks forward to the prospect of creating his first large scale artificial reality mural this year.
Since graduating in 2022 from the Cape Town Creative Academy, he has been a full time artist, and has shown his work in solo 3 solo exhibitions across the Western Cape. His latest collection depicts De Waterkant, Orange Street, Wale Street, Kloof Nek & other iconic scenes around the CBD.
