Jakes originates from Sebokeng in the Vaal. While growing up he never reallywanted to nor dreamt of becoming an artist let alone a street artist, he alwaysdreamt of becoming a scientist or doctor and curing the world of all thesicknesses and saving lives, but amidstall those young dreams I always found myself drawing. He was at peacewith a pen and paper.
