Criola (1990) is one of the most prominent visual artists in urban art, always delving into social and political agendas, with large format paintings and murals that touch on ancestry to expose and question the values of contemporary society. Her works focus mainly on the position of black women in society and the importance of their role in the world. In addition to the figurative, it brings in its style the inspiration of the Brazilian fauna and flora added to the graphics of African matrices. The artist presents large gables, sides of buildings, painted in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Paris, Minsk, Las Vegas, Miami, Portugal and Sweden.
