AWARD WINNING IMPACT!!
BAZ-ART is please to announce that our efforts to create impact through art have been recognized and we have bagged our first award!
On the 12 December, BAZ-ART was nominated for and won the CAP40 “Business of the year” award alongside the “Entrepreneur of the year” award for our founder Alexandre Tilmans.
CAP40 is business community which focuses on the links between the French business and the Western Cape. It is an ultra dynamic community rich in connection and knowledge resources.
This social network, knowledge and resources exchange platform aims at helping people to do business in our region, and also help South Africans who want to work in France.
The award ceremony took place at East City Studio, Gardens, Cape Town. It was attended by an array of reputable businessmen and diplomats. Among the group, we had the mayor of Cape Town Helen Zille, the French consul general Laurent Amar and many more influential decision makers.
The Cap40 community was free to nominate for the businesses and entrepreneurs that they found was deserving of the 5 different awards. The jury which comprised of highly reputable business figures (such as Lerato Mgidlana, Business women’s association; Tim Harris and James Milne, Wesgro; Alfonso Tagliaferri, Italian Consul; Michel de Wouters, Belgian Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Thomas Pays, I-Pay; Lauren Basson, Green Cape) short listed 3 potential candidates in each category after which the community had to vote for the respective winners.
Of the 5 different categories, BAZ-ART won business of the year and our founder & director Alexandre Tilmans won entrepreneur of the year.
We are beyond grateful to recognized for the our impact in the arts and trust that there would be many more of this auspicious occasions ahead.
