As a South African artist based in Cape Town, artist Dfeat Once started painting graffiti/ street-art in 1999 doing murals against Rape, Crime and Drug- abuse at High School also painting alongside World- renowned professional Graffiti artist Mak1ne.

Becoming the featured Graffiti/street-artist in the documentary by Shamanic organic films in 2002 also being awarded first prize winner at the African Battle Cry 2002 held at the Grassy park civic centre. In collaboration with Mak1ne’s piece 2002 he painted with artist from all over the globe held at “The Hall of Fame” at Searle street park in District Six/Woodstock area.

Actively being involved in a self- initiated project entitled “Practice makes perfect” at Queenspark High school in Woodstock to inspire young minds to never give up their dreams, aspirations and goals.The imbawula(“Fire On The Mountain”) Hip Hop festival brought Dfeat Once to represent Cape Town as graffiti artist in Joburg where the festival was held collaborating artist from Cameroon, Kenya, Port -Elizabeth ,Durban, Cape Town and Joburg.Deval snowboard clothing commissioned him in 2009 organised through episode media productions.

Later on becoming art teacher at Lil’dreys teaching art to children aged 4-13 years, which was also on offer at the Design indaba 2010 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in Cape Town.Friends of Design- digital arts academy had his murals springing up all over the school where he pursued studies in illustrator Cs5 in 2011.ATN road-marking company commissioned artist Ashley fife AKA Logikll Paradox and Dfeat Once to paint a mural on a revived/gentrified sports field as to date being his biggest mural at 101m in length and 2m in height at The Phoenix Secondary School in Mannenberg area.Taking four days to complete.

Yet again commissioned to brighten up walls at the Kaos Pilot School of Denmark and Switzerland while their stay in Cape Town for three months in 2014. He is nowadays often producing Recycled cardboard sneakers, hand-painted t shirts, graffiti timepieces and also does Sketches and portraits by commission More of his works are @ Jason bakery on cnr Bree street and Buiten street in CBD, Amandla Edu Football at Salt Circle 3rd floor in Salt River, Gladstone rd park Matroosfontein , Elsies River.
