Every action Baz-Art PBO takes abides by the three pillars the organisation adheres to, demonstrating our Code of Ethics. These pillars are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1: ARTISTS<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Baz-Art is a platform that empowers artists, especially public art artists, to make a living from their talents.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our open calls are public<\/a> and available to any local, regional, national and international artists. The selection process respects the rules of the three pillars. We follow and are guided by the ethical principles of the Olympic Games that reward artists for their talent\/performance, their sense of solidarity, and their respect for humanity\/their community, by adhering to the principles of Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: COMMUNITY:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Any action and project undertaken aims to foster a sense of belonging, pride, and cohesion in the community<\/a> we work in. We respect but do not support any projects or actions with political or religious affiliations as this would contradict Pillar Three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3:<\/strong> EDUCATION<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By its very nature, art promotes conversation and dialogue<\/a>; this letter being an example. Public art creates a message, a dialogue between community members, between artists or between community members and artists. We believe in Mandela\u2019s famous motto: \u201cEach one teaches one<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baz-Art has worked with over 180 artists throughout its existence and across all its successive International Public Arts Festivals (IPAFs). Every artist was recruited through public open calls to ensure an equal opportunity for all. These open calls provide the chance for artists of all walks of life, race, religion, gender, etc. to participate in the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All artists are welcomed to IPAF if they adhere and respect Pillar One, which means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
