CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – Today, 20th October 2019, marks the launch of Africa’s first 360-degree Virtual Reality Street Art experience. As a tie-in to our upcoming International Public Art Festival (IPAF) in February 2020, Baz-Art is making its VR street art tour now available to art lovers in and beyond the continent. Baz-Art’s virtual reality experience is a landmark in the continent’s public art movement as well as in African history of technology and art.
The VR Street Art Tour can be enjoyed using phone, laptop, tablet or VR goggles and will offer you a 360° tour where you may step forward and back, look left and right, hereby accessing the artworks and murals as you may have in real life.
The 8-minute-long VR Street Art experience is now available and immerses you into the street art of Salt River, an unique and proudly South African urban enclave.
Special thanks goes to Chris, founder of non-profit Intsikelelo, BASA South Africa, all the artists for being so creative, all the Salt River residents for always being so welcoming and to the City of Cape Town.
